Homemaker: Clear the Clutter

Homemaker: Clear the Clutter

So, I am getting ready for a move in March...sigh.

The only thing about this move that I am looking forward to, is getting rid of clutter. I am downsizing a bit, so I need to get rid of stuff.  If I haven't worn it in a long time, it needs to go. If I haven't used it in a long time...bye bye.

I have noticed how much clearer my mind feels since I have started getting rid of the clutter. "To have a place for everything, and everything in its place"...It will feel great. I have purchased a few items to help me organize my new closet (my closet has been in a hallway - long story). I love when keepsake boxes and baskets match; it is easier on the eyes, and I am a huge fan of the uniform appearance.

Not only is it great for your mind, but I feel you attract more of the things you are hoping for when you make room for them. If you have any great suggestions, I would love to know about them. In the meantime, I will be over here clearing out the clutter.

Homemaker: March Pantry

You may not know this, but I love clean lines...Oh, and black. I happened to stumble upon these beautiful jars from March Pantry on Pinterest, and fell in love. I would love to open the pantry and everything match. I know, I know...I am a bit extra, but a girl can dream can't she? I don't care for all the frilly labels you can make yourself either; they are not clean lined enough for me.

Well, when I went to the March Pantry website, and I saw more of what they had to offer. I wanted to go to San Francisco just so I can visit this store. I love the Parson Worktable with the legs that are dipped in black, and how about those John Pawson Novy Dvur candle holders?

Might you know of any products that offer similar clean lines; I would love to know about it?

I must say that I am still crazy over Alice Supply Co. I love all the cute designs they come out with, and their last Trina Turk collection was bananas. The tool box featured above can be left white, or you can glam it up to your liking. I found one on the Gessato website. Now, as for the tools...it hasn't been that easy. However, I will be sure to update you.

Homemaker: A Beautiful Surprise

Veggie Sandwich 2 Revised Last .jpg

Homemaker: A Beautiful Surprise

I have just completed a 21 day fast from meat. It was much easier than I thought, too! I didn't miss it believe it or not. It gave me the opportunity to open my palette to experience other types of foods. I didn't walk away feeling hungry; and because I didn't have to digest the meat, my body didn't have that heavy feeling.

I lost 3 inches off my stomach and 5.5 pounds. I really did it because I want to slowly introduce a new lifestyle to my body. I am wise enough to know that I should gradually make changes. I don't want to set myself up to fail. Well, off to tackle my daily water consumption.

Oooh, but before I go (duh Kiran), I wanted to share a veggie sandwich recipe with you that was delish! I would put the cheese on the hot sauteed veggies, so it can melt a bit. I didn't miss the meet at all, and it was a beautiful surprise. ;-)

Have a fabulous weekend!

I am really into these colorful gardening tools; and crazy over the yellow garden hose by Dramm. It makes watering the garden fabulous! Any excuse to add a touch of fabulous, and I'm all in.
